Dr. Malyaj Das is Head, Department of Physics, Medi-Caps University, Indore since 30 September, 2020. He has been associated with this Department for more than a decade. He has completed his Bachelor’s degree from Holkar Science College, Indore in 2000 and Master’s degree in Electronics from School of Electronics, Devi Ahilya University, Indore in the year of 2002, his inception to the field of academics and keen interest in research conferred him with an honorary doctoral degree (Ph. D.) in Physics from School of Physics, Devi Ahilya University, Indore on the topic “Optical nonlinearities in Organic materials and Nanoparticles''. He had worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Physics, Sri G S Institute of Science and Technology, Indore from July 2003 to April 2007. He was also a recipient of Senior Research Fellow under TEQIP Program in Department of Physics, Sri G S Institute of Science and Technology, Indore from April 2007 to March 2009. He is having excellent command over theoretical and experimental Physics especially in working with different Lasers instruments and its setups. Under his belt two M. Sc. and M. Tech. students did their dissertations. Presently, two students are working under him as Ph. D. research scholars in the emerging fields of Materials science and Surface plasmon resonance. He has published more than 35 research papers in Journals, National and International conferences.
