Fire Tech & Safety Engineering
The Fire Safety Training Course is designed to raise awareness of fire hazards in the workplace and how to act safely in the event of an emergency fire situation, including selecting and using the correct fire extinguisher. The course is also designed to train staff in your fire safety procedures. Next Course Dates: 18th of February
The purpose of this basic fire fighting training is to give participants skills, knowledge and expertise that will enable them to identify the conditions capable of causing fire, know how to use a fire extinguisher, respond appropriately to fire emergencies and follow the fire evacuation plan, adequately implement fire emergency procedures. Upon completion of this course participants will be able to: Successfully extinguish fires with the use of a fire extinguisher. Successfully evacuate an installation on fire. Apply the theory of the fire triangle in preventing fires at worksites. Carry out a simple fire risk assessment on the premises. Understand and use the principles of fire suppression. Explain the meaning of flash point and auto ignition. Understand the behavior of fire during its propagation.
Scope of Fire Tech. and Safety Engineering:
This science of engineering involves design and functional methods of safer fire resistant techniques. Almost all the High Rise Buildings, Malls, Hospitals, Hotels, Commercial Centres are required to fight fire hazards. Government norms are equally strict in this prospect, and hence major building norms today need the services of fire and safety engineers. Also in gulf countries, which come under fire-prone areas due to the abundant oil refineries, services of specialised Fire and Safety engineers are essentially required.
